A cooperative card-ordering puzzle for a small group
Six Plans Together
Read a clue. Suggest a place. Make a plan that fits all six cards.
Cut the cards once, then share one six-card puzzle at a time. Each round has its own set of illustrated activity cards and one clear condition on each card. Arrange them in a single row, explain your ideas and check the plan together.
- Best fit: 2–4 people who enjoy a quiet logic challenge
- Suggested age: 12+ for independent reading and reasoning; an organizer needs to understand the English instructions
- Larger option: 5–6 players with an organizer guiding turns; not recommended for 7–8
- Inside: 18 cards, organized as 3 fixed six-card rounds
- Print: US Letter and A4, Standard and Low Ink
- Prepare: scissors for one-time cutting; no folding or double-sided printing
- Play: paper cards only; no app, timer, glue, tokens or pen required
What players actually do
- Take the current round’s six cards and start in A–B–C–D–E–F order.
- Read the six conditions. Each person gets a chance to suggest a placement or explain a check; passing is welcome.
- Move cards and check every condition. Repair the plan as needed, or agree to read a hint.
- When every condition fits, set that round’s cards aside. Use the next set and start again in A–F order.
The cards show six imaginary activities: Welcome, Snack, Wordplay, Pattern, Picture and Pause. You do not perform those activities. No food, photography, family knowledge or personal stories are needed.
This is a shared logic puzzle, not an escape room, trivia quiz or loud party game. All clues are open. Turn prompts support participation, but the game does not give each person secret information or a separate mission.
Easy-to-find information, without a long player booklet
The one-page player guide uses a six-icon legend, a row diagram and real shape examples to explain position words. Every activity condition is set in 18-point type. Each card has a large letter, short name, icon and round number, so color is never needed to identify it.
The organizer gets a separate setup script, dealing guidance and recovery advice. Hints are on their own page; full answers and worked explanations are on different pages. The host can join in while those pages stay closed until the group asks for help.
What you receive
- Four 4-page player PDFs: Letter Standard, Letter Low Ink, A4 Standard and A4 Low Ink. Each contains one illustrated guide and three six-card cutting sheets.
- Two 5-page host PDFs: Letter and A4. Each contains setup, a separate hints page and three worked-solution pages.
- README and license summary: printing, preparation, scope, replay limits and support.
Choose one player format and one matching host format: 9 sheets for the full set. The six PDFs are paper-size/style choices, not six different games. The purchased PDFs are not editable.
Printing, cutting and table space
Print portrait, single-sided, at 100% / Actual Size. Each card sheet has two columns and three rows. Cut the two horizontal lines into three strips, then cut each strip in half. That is five straight cutting paths per sheet, fifteen across the three sheets. Sort the resulting cards into Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 stacks.
A4 cards measure 105 × 99 mm; Letter cards measure approximately 107.95 × 93.13 mm at actual size. Allow about 70 × 25 cm of clear tabletop for a single row and handling room. Agree on the reading direction. A small side surface can hold the unused round sets and host pages.
Ordinary paper may be used; sturdier paper is optional. Standard uses restrained color and a light background. Low Ink uses white backgrounds and black linework. Print and cutting instructions are included; no physical-printer or paper-handling test has yet been completed.
How much time should you allow?
The game is untimed. These are planning scenarios based on reading, discussion, moving cards and checking rules—not measured playtest results:
- Two adults, with at least one familiar with ordering puzzles: approximately 15–25 minutes.
- A first-time group of three or four: approximately 20–35 minutes.
- Five or six with guided turns: approximately 25–45 minutes.
Allow longer if the group needs it, or finish after one round. Organizer reading is budgeted separately at 4–7 minutes; cutting and sorting at 4–7 minutes. Those preparation times are also estimates, and printer waiting time is not included.
Before you buy
The three rounds have fixed answers. Once the same group knows them, replay offers less discovery. This version is intended for quiet, puzzle-loving groups—not every family gathering or party.
Suggested ages and group sizes are design recommendations. Digital solution and layout checks do not replace real-user playtests. This edition has not yet been tested with real participants or physically printed. Large clue text is not a medical or accessibility certification.
